Royals: Queen Elizabeth II to Visit Ireland

The British Queen will pay a state visit to Ireland later this year after accepting an invitation from the President of Ireland, Mary McAleese.

A new Taoiseach is due to be nominated on 9th March 2011 after the recently held Ireland General Election which gave Fine Gael the largest share of the Dáil Éireann.

Further details of the Royal visit will be announced later in the month.
