Red Dwarf Makes a Comeback on Dave

The comedy series, Red Dwarf, is making a comeback in 2012 with a six episode series on BBC-owned channel, Dave.

Chris Barrie (Rimmer), Craig Charles (Lister), Danny John-Jules (Cat) and Robert Llewellyn (Kryten) all return in their former incarnations as a hapless quartet of space travellers stranded aboard a mining ship.

Written and directed by Doug Naylor, the series deals with such inter-stellar bomb-shells as “How far would you go to out-do your brother?”, “How do you send a Father’s Day card to yourself if you are your own father?” and “How do you re-program a computer who can predict your every action?”. In the quest for wisdom, viewers hear from a series of vending machines, computer programs and holograms.

This retro-classic comedy represents popular nostalgia for a whole generation and it will be a rare pleasure for many to once more hear Rimmer’s strings of adjectives and that unique catch phrase “Smeg”.

Red Dwarf revs up again on Thursdays at 9pm from 4th October 2012 for UK viewers only.
