The Heir Apparent His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani and his wife HH Sheikha Jawahir bint Hamad bin Suhaim al Thani played a spot of table tennis as part of the day’s activities.

The full list of applicants to host the 2020 Olympics are as follows:

  • Istanbul (Turkey)
  • Tokyo (Japan)
  • Baku (Azerbaijan)
  • Doha (Qatar)
  • Madrid (Spain)

A working group will now review the applications and the candidates accepted for the next round will be announced in May 2012.
