Qatar Airways has signed an agreement with Kenya’s domestic low-cost airline, Fly540. The deal means passengers flying into Kenya will be able to book seamless transfers to Eldoret, Kisumu, Lamu, Lodwar, Malindi and Mombasa and also across the border into Juba and Zanzibar. Visitors will only need one itinerary and will not need to switch their baggage.
Don Smith, CEO of Fly540 Kenya commented:
“We are delighted to have signed this interline agreement with Qatar Airways, which is our first such agreement. This deal expands our flight network beyond Africa and to a key growth-area of the Middle East. We feel honoured to have been selected to partner one of the world’s premier airlines, which reflects the strength of our offering in Kenya, and we look forward to welcoming Qatar Airways passengers onboard.”
Fly540 was founded in Nairobi in 2005 by Five Forty Aviation Ltd and has a strategic partnership with Lonrho Plc.
