May.18 — China President Xi Jinping said the country has been acting with transparency and responsibility all along since the coronavirus outbreak began, and provided information to the World Health Organization and countries in the most timely fashion. Xi also pledged to make China’s coronavirus vaccine a global public good once one is available. He made the remarks on May 18 in a speech to the World Health Assembly, the governing body of the WHO.
