Why does TRUMP want to buy GREENLAND? – VisualPolitik EN

Trump has said he wants to buy Greenland and, crazy as it sounds, it makes sense. Other American presidents like Harry S. Truman tried the same in the past. The truth is Greenland is a paradise natural resource wise: oil, uranium and all kinds of minerals that are ready to be exploited.
The problem? This island belongs to the Danish Crown. And Denmark is not willing to give away a place with so much natural wealth.
Nevertheless, the political situation on this territory is far from clear. Greelanders have been fighting for independence for decades. To what extent would they consider becoming part of USA? Is Greenland such a good investment for America? We will answer to all of this questions on this video.

It is among the founding members of NATO, the Nordic Council, the OECD, OSCE, and the United Nations; it is also part of the Schengen Area. Denmark has close linguistic ties to its Scandinavian neighbours.
