Mar.18 — William Zarit, former minister for commercial affairs at the U.S. embassy in China and now senior counselor at The Cohen Group, a consulting firm, shares his views on the first high-level talks between the U.S. and China since President Joe Biden took office. The meeting descended immediately into bickering and recriminations, with each side sharply criticizing the other over human rights, trade and international alliances. Zarit, who was also chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in China, speaks on “Bloomberg Daybreak: Australia.”
