TRUMP, ISRAEL & PALESTINE | Why is the “DEAL OF THE CENTURY” A FAILURE? – VisualPolitik EN

For decades, Israelis and Palestinians have accumulated more than enough reasons for… “fighting.” And now we have to add a new one.

The so-called “Deal of the Century”. The Trump Administration’s plan to supposedly achieve peace between Israel and Palestine, and we say supposedly because everything indicates that for now, what Trump is doing is pushing Israel-Palestine relations to its most critical moment during the past 40 years.

If no one prevents it, Israel is going to annex Jewish settlements in the West Bank. In other words, it will incorporate land that has historically been seen as part of a hypothetical Palestinian state into the Israeli state.

And that brings up a lot of questions:

What’s going on in the Middle East? Is this really the Deal of the Century? Who are the winners and losers in Trump’s plan? Why does Israel want to annex Jewish settlements?

More importantly, why does the solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict seem farther away than ever? In this video, we answer all these questions and we also tell you how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hopes to take advantage of this new scenario.
