Development and experimentation with biological weapons have been banned since 1975. What’s surprising is that up to that point, countries like the United States not only had programmes in place to research and develop biological weapons, but on numerous occasions they tested their research on American citizens themselves. Cities such as San Francisco, St. Louis, or New York were the scene of major biological weapons trials conducted by the United States Army that were used to study their spread and potential damage.
However, since the programmes were banned, at least officially, the field of biological weapons seems to have moved into the background. But the coronavirus crisis has shone a spotlight on the significant damage this type of weaponry could have. And that has led us to wonder how capable countries really are today to face this danger.
Do you want to know more about the ruthless world of biological weapons, and the threat they can really pose? Do you think that in today’s world we are prepared to face a possible biological attack? In this video we will shed some light on this issue.
