Four new ambassadors have arrived in Sweden, including an archbishop from the Vatican. Their Excellencies presented letters of credence to HM The King of Sweden on Thursday 25th October 2012:
The newly appointed Apostolic Nuncio Monsignor Henryk Józef Nowacki, Titular Archbishop of Blera, will represent the Holy See.
Archbishop Nowacki was born in Germany in 1946. He has served in the diplomatic service of the Holy See since 1983 and was successively posted at the Pontifical Representations in Paraguay and Angola. Following a period at the Secretariat of State in the Vatican, he was named Apostolic Nuncio in Slovakia in February 2001. In March the same year he was ordained Archbishop of Blera.
Since November 2007 Archbishop Nowacki has served as Apostolic Nuncio in Nicaragua.
PAK Kwang Chol will represent the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to Sweden. The newly appointed ambassador was born in 1956 and has served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1989.
Mazen Tal will represent Jordan to Sweden. Concurrently accredited from Berlin the Jordanian diplomat was among the group who met HM The King of Sweden on Thursday.
Ambassador Tal was born in 1952 and received a PhD in international relations from the University of Paris in 1988. His Excellency has served at several Jordanian Embassies and Missions, including Paris, Geneva, New York, South Africa and New Delhi.
Gaoh Aminatou, will represent the state of Niger to the Swedish government. The West African diplomat is concurrently accredited from Berlin. She was born in 1961 and has served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Niger since 1994. Her previous posting was as Ambassador in Berlin.
