Let’s fix the news. Together.
Masks, something as simple as face masks have managed to put governments of half the world against the ropes simply because the supply of masks in the face of the coronavirus pandemic has been scarce.
As you probably already know, – and if you don’t, take note and remember it – masks are an essential element to contain the SARS-Cov-2, so after the pandemic was unleashed, the global demand for masks skyrocketed, without supply having managed to climb at anywhere near the same speed.
We have probably all experienced the result: difficulties finding masks, especially if we talk about the most effective models, exorbitant prices, fakes absolutely everywhere, and single-use masks that have been used again and again.
But it’s not just about the masks. With the rest of the medical equipment needed to take on Covid-19, exactly the same thing has happened.
And it’s at this point, however incredible it may seem, that some countries have seen an opportunity in the general scarcity to advance diplomacy and extend their political tentacles. We are talking in particular about China and Taiwan, two countries that are already from this amazing strategy.
Want to know more about “Mask Diplomacy?” Well, in this video we will tell you all the details.
