5G technology will allow mobile internet connections between 20 and 100 times faster than the current 4G. This new generation of networks could make things like the Internet of Things or self-driving cars more viable. However, 5G is accompanied by many political risks. Why?

The answer lies in Huawei and China. Huawei is currently the leader in the manufacture of 5G systems, both in quality and price. And Donald Trump is afraid that China will spy on mobile phone users through antennas. In Europe, however, they are not so clear. The UK has already drawn up an agreement that will allow Huawei to install some of the 5G networks in the country.

Who’s right? Donald Trump or Boris Johnson? How is it possible that China has become the leader of 5G? In this video, we’ll tell you.
