PJ Walker went undrafted out of Temple and spent some time on the Colts practice squad. After two seasons there he was cut from the team before the 2019 season and after a few tryouts with other NFL teams, he was on his couch watching football rather than playing. After some persuading by his son Andrew, XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck gave Walker another shot, this time in the XFL. Walked ended up as the signal-caller for the Houston Roughnecks where he torched the rest of the league and was the clear cut MVP frontrunner. Now, he has earned another shot at the NFL this time with his former college coach, Matt Rhule, in Charlotte, North Carolina with the Panthers.
