In this episode of The Season with Alan Titchmarsh, Britain’s favourite gardening presenter takes a look at the beauty and fun of the British summertime.

From the working of the planets and weather systems right through to the royal inspection of swans each year and pagan celebration of the summer solstice, summer is explored with the help of school children and traditional crafts people.

Alan takes a look at British vineyards and reed weaving as well as the migration of salmon. A fantastic summation of all that is inviting about the British Isles in the hottest part of the year.

The Season with Alan Titchmarsh: Summer, will be broadcast on Sunday 16th May 7pm ITV1.
