Restless – Out in Cinemas October 2011

Restless is the tale of an American boy (Henry Hopper) who is haunted by the ghost of a World War II Japanese kamikaze pilot, Ryo Kase (Hiroshi Takahashi). Somewhat obsessed with death and the meaning of life, he begins attending the funerals of strangers and meets a girl (Mia Wasikowska) with only three months left to live. They begin a courtship which reinforces his belief in the importance of life.

Despite its content, this film from Gus Van Sant is not depressing, rather it is a moving account of the questioning and ultimate enlightenment of a young man.

Restless is out in UK cinemas on 21st October 2011.
