Billowing gowns, head scarves and geometric patterns gave a distinctly Arabian feel to the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York this week. With collections from Mara Hoffman, Luca Luca and Tadashi Shoji on the first day and appearances from Alexa Chung, Gabrielle Union and Petra Nemcova, the stage is set for s starstruck week in the Big Apple.

Upcoming shows from Hervé Léger by Max Azria, Diane von Furstenberg, Carolina Herrera, Vera Wang, Michael Kors, Derek Lam, Tommy Hillfiger, Prabal Gurung, Nicole Miller, Charlotte Ronson, Tory Burch, and Betsey Johnsonlater in the week are eagerly anticipated.
