The Garia Monaco – a road legal golf cart – will be appearing at the prestigious Salon Privé super car event & concourse d’elegance.
The luxury car event is taking place at Syon park in London and will host a plethora of luxury brands including Pommery champagne, Audemars Piguet watches and Waldorf Astoria hotels. The Garia Golf Car and the street legal Garia Monaco will both be on show for the full three days – 22nd – 24th June 2011 in the West of the UK capital, London.
The Garia Monaco is a street legal version of The Garia Golf Car, fitted with street legal equipment such as three point seat belts and side mirrors. It has a top speed of up to 40 km/h. The vehicle is entirely powered by electric and is aimed at the recreational golfer making the leisurely trip from the golf course to a restaurant or hotel. It is also intended for short city commutes and is shown above alongside a yacht in its small Mediterranean namesake.
Both the The Garia Golf Car and The Garia Monaco are built at the Valmet Automotive factory in Finland, where the Porsche Boxster and Cayman are built. The factory also manufactures the THINK City and Fisker Karma electric vehicles using new ecological solutions for power sources and lightweight body structures and materials.
The Garia Monaco has extra comfortable sports seats as standard. As for upgrades, The Garia Plus Package includes; interior light, a heated wind shield with washer system and a refrigerator in the dashboard. The refrigerator can accommodate three standard sized bottles of water.
The golf car features a direction selector rather than a gear stick, as well as a boot for luggage and a 12V power outlet to facilitate GPS and other accessories.
