Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition Opens on Valentine’s Day

On Valentine’s Day 2011, His Excellency the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani opened this the 8th edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition at the Doha Exhibition Centre in Qatar.

The opening ceremony was attended by leading diplomats, ministers and business figures.

Qatar Tourism Authority Chairman Mr. Ahmed Al Nuaimi said:

“I am delighted to present the largest edition of our annual Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition to date. We are proud to organize such a prestigious regional event in Doha. The high quality profile of the exhibitors continues to attract interested and enthusiastic consumers from around the region, which has helped to make this show one of the most successful and sought after in the Gulf and the world for retailers and those who appreciate fine jewellery and watches.

“The timing of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition is significant in that it falls between the two most important jewellery and watches exhibitions in Switzerland: the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva and Baselworld in Basel. The Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition has thus become part of the preview series for the latest collections.”

The exhibition runs from 15th – 20th February 2011.
