Cocktail Recipe: Mon Cherrie

To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Pan Asian London restaurant, Tamarai, has designed a special new cherry flavoured cocktail which is a play on the French for “My cherries” and “My Dear”. Make it yourself at home or pop into the bar in Covent garden to see how the professionals go about it.

Mon Cherrie

Glass: Bubble Frappe

Ingredients

  • ½ a passion fruit
  • 1 dash Orange Bitter
  • 5ML Mozart Black
  • 5ML passion Fruit Syrup
  • 50ML Wisniowka Cherry Vodka
  • 25ML Cloudy Apply Juice

Method

  1. Shake
  2. Double Strain into glass

Garnish

Marashino Cherries in the bubble & orange twist over the drink.

About the Restaurant

Tamarai restaurant won The Independent’s coveted Best Wine List Award and includes selections from India’s Grover Vineyards. Dinner from 5.30pm features Chef Manish Mehrotra’s Pan Asian Menu coupled with Charles Metcalfe’s selection of award winning wines. Post 11.30pm Tamarai’s resident video jockey plays audio-visuals into the early hours of the morning. Diners are offered complimentary parking for up to three hours at NCP Drury Lane.

Starters

Soft Shell Crab, Flavour Roast Coconut Masala Mayo and Vegetable and Silken Tofu Dumplings with Pepper and Coriander

Mains

Pan Seared Quail, Pearl Onion and Chinese Wine;
Duke of Berkshire Pork Belly, Pork Cracklings with Hoisin Onion Sauce;
Dry Fried Scottish Beef, Green Beans with Chilli XO Sauce;
Braised Venison Shank, Malay Curry and Astina Cress.

Dessert

Basmati, Jaggery, Pandana Leaf Payasam with Cornish Clotted Cream
