Mass protests were planned for Zimbabwe today, despite the government threat of a crackdown.

FRANCE 24’s international affairs editor Armen Georgian says protestors want to draw attention to worsening conditions in the country since President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s election two years ago, which have been exacerbated by drought.

On the Zambezi River, Victoria Falls make a thundering 108m drop into narrow Batoka Gorge, where there’s white-water rafting and bungee-jumping.
