Zimbabwe President Mugabe to punish critical veterans

Thousands of Zimbabweans rallied in support of President Robert Mugabe, days after war veterans who fought against white minority rule in the 1970s called for him to step down.

At the rally, the 92-year-old leader threatened to punish the dissenting war veterans.

Anger over the economy and unemployment has triggered protests, but Mugabe has warned against trying to remove him.
