Threatened by the Nordic countries’ NATO entry, Russia has warned of a “military-technical” retaliation. Zhou Bo, a retired Senior Colonel of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, believes Putin won’t allow Ukraine to become another Afghanistan which turned out to be “a quagmire for empires”.
