Actor Ben Stiller met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a visit to the capital of Kyiv on Monday, telling the president: “you’re my hero.”
Stiller praised Zelenskyy for rallying the country and the world to his cause as Ukraine fends of Russia’s invasion.
Stiller, who is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nation’s refugee agency (UNHCR), also visited the town of Irpin, which was devastated by fighting early in the start of the invasion.
The actor also visited a UNHCR protection hub, that provides help for refugees suffering from sexual and gender-based violence, as well as child protection and legal aid service.
Finally, he toured a UNHCR warehouse in Rzeszow, Poland.
