Chinese President Xi Jinping will deliver a keynote speech via video at the opening of the Eighth Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) on Monday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying announced Friday.

Minister of Culture and Communication of Senegal, Abdoulaye Diop, said the forum will be a “great moment for meetings and exchanges.”

“It will be a privileged moment to strengthen cooperation between China and Africa through the economic, social and cultural potentials of African countries and China,” he said.
