Working Homeless: ‘it’s a scary bleak existence’

Sky News published this video item, entitled “Working Homeless: ‘it’s a scary bleak existence'” – below is their description.

They are your builders, bar tenders and couriers and their home is a cardboard mattress in a churchyard.

It’s being described as the ‘Cardboard Economy’ and charities fear it will only continue to grow when the furlough scheme ends in September.

Data shows that around a quarter of people in England who are either homeless or at risk of ending up on the streets actually have jobs.

Many live in make-shift homes in busy cities where they also earn their keep — as Sky’s home editor, Jason Farrell, reports.
