For the first time, women are driving metro trains through Moscow. Until now, this was a profession reserved for men. Around 100 jobs in Russia are still deemed “too dangerous for women,” who are prohibited by law from holding them.

Russia is a major great power, with the world’s second-most powerful military, and the fourth-highest military expenditure. As a recognised nuclear-weapon state, the country possesses the world’s largest stockpile of nuclear weapons.
