In court on Tuesday, Darrell Brooks was consoled by his public defender as he cried in court. The court-appointed legal expert raised eyebrows when she was seen rubbing Brooks’ back and attempting to comfort him.

Dressed in a green sleeveless bulletproof vest, Brooks was seen rocking back and forth in his chair during the hearing, staring at the floor throughout.
