A cold snap is sweeping parts of northern China, bringing this winter’s first snowstorms. Heavy snow engulfed areas including the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Shandong Province, Tianjin Municipality and Beijing between Sunday and Monday, causing road closures and suspension of public transportation. It also affected the crops and the delivery of daily supplies to some communities under quarantine amidst a recent wave of COVID-19 cases.
