The South-East Australian wine industry remains in limbo with growers and winemakers still unsure of the impact of smoke from the massive bushfires.

The danger is ‘smoke taint’ that not only affects the taste of the grapes, it can wipe out entire regional vintages.

As Erin Somerville reports, the extent of the damage may not be known for some time.
