    It’s not just the UK struggling to cope with a fresh wave of coronavirus, cases are soaring across Europe too, with several governments facing a public backlash. Italy insists that face masks be worn outdoors after a spike in cases. There’s been dismay in France after bars were closed in Paris, while in Madrid thousands took to the streets to protest against new lockdown measures.
