Will Mark Carney’s finance coalition help us reach net zero?

Sky News published this video item, entitled “Will Mark Carney’s finance coalition help us reach net zero?” – below is their description.

One big announcement at COP26 was from the former head of the Bank of England, Mark Carney.

He announced 450 financial firms would use $130tn (£96.3tn) to invest in areas helping to achieve net zero.

Extinction Rebellion activist and co-founder of the COP26 climate action plan, Chidi Oti Obihara, calls it a “game changer”, but lecturer in International relations at Cardiff University, Jen Allan, explains why she doesn’t think it’s transparent enough.
