Searing temperatures and bone-dry conditions have sparked wildfires across the U.S. west coast.
In Arizona, two firefighters were killed when their plane crashed while surveying flames and in California, fires have engulfed homes and devastated communities.
Debris from the Oregon fire, which is the largest in the U.S., is effecting power lines in California, which has declared a power grid emergency.
The fires have been sparked by what has been the hottest June on record across parts of the U.S. southwest and experts say climate change is to blame for the soaring temperatures. Jennifer Johnson reports.
