Lissie Harper is calling for anyone convicted of killing an emergency services worker to be sentenced to life in prison.
She said she felt let down by the justice system after the driver of the car which dragged her husband to his death was sentenced to 16 years for manslaughter instead of a life sentence for murder.
The campaign for “Harper’s law” would apply to the killing of a police officer, firefighter, doctor, prison officer or paramedic.
