It’s been one year since the announcement of the AUKUS agreement. At the time, it sent the relationship between France and Australia spiralling, and China continues to loudly lobby against the deal. Dr Marianne Hanson, an associate professor in international relations with the University of Queensland tells The World Australia “should be thinking twice” about whether it wants nuclear powered submarines.
