Sébastien Périmony, an expert on global issues at the International Schiller Institute in France, said in an interview that the publication of the white paper on the Taiwan question is a powerful hit back at the intent of Nancy Pelosi’s visit to the Taiwan region. It shows the Chinese government’s determination to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity and maintain peace and stability across the Taiwan Straits.
