Reuters reported on the White House condemnation of a legal challenge filed by Harvard and MIT Universities in the USA against a new rule which would block foreign students remaining in the country if their courses move online for Covid-19.
White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany said:
“I think the policy speaks for itself, you know, you don’t get a visa for taking an online class from let’s say University of Phoenix, so why would you if you were just taking online classes generally?
“I would note in regard to Harvard and MIT suing over this, in all due respect to my former almer mater, perhaps a better lawsuit would be coming from students who have to pay full tuition with no access to in-person classes to attend.
