Finland and Sweden are looking to join the US-led NATO alliance despite threats of retaliation from Russia. Natasha Lindstaedt, a professor of government at the University of Essex tells The World Moscow’s “next step of escalation” would involve sending “a very clear message” that it’s a nuclear power, and “nothing is off the table”.
