Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “‘When she spoke, people listened’: Ruth Bader Ginsburg remembered” – below is their description.
Three days of memorial ceremonies for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg began on Wednesday at the Supreme Court, where her flag-draped coffin was carried past clerks who worked for her during her 27-year career. She was a pivotal figure in US law for women’s rights. On Friday, Ginsburg will lie in state in the US Capitol – the first woman to do so. President Donald Trump will visit the Court on Thursday to pay his respects to her. He says he will announce Ginsburg’s replacement on Saturday – a move the Democrats have strongly condemned. Al Jazeera’s Shihab Rattansi reports from Washington, DC. –
