Downing Street has admitted it did request a controversial meeting between Boris Johnson and Sue Gray ahead of the publication of her partygate inquiry despite initial denials.

It comes as the highly anticipated is expected to be released to the public. ITV released exclusive photos of Boris Johnson drinking in Downing Street

The four pictures, obtained by ITV News, appear to show the PM raising a glass at a leaving party for his then director of communications Lee Cain on 13 November 2020.
