What are the details of the new defence plans?

Sky News published this video item, entitled “What are the details of the new defence plans?” – below is their description.

The Defence Secretary Ben Wallace described the new defence plans he announced as the most significant review of the armed forces since the end of the Cold War.

Details of the planned changes include that the British Army is to be reduced by around 10,000

soldiers.

There will also be fewer tanks and aircraft, and instead ministers are planning to invest in robots, drones and cyber warfare capabilities.

Sky’s Defence and Security correspondent Alistair Bunkall takes a closer look at the changes.
