Sky News Australia published this video item, entitled “‘We’re about to see the pardon season’: First ‘Corn’, now Michael Flynn” – below is their description.
Americans are likely to witness a “pardon season” from President Donald Trump after absolving former national security adviser Michael Flynn a day after the turkey called Corn, according to Sky News US contributor Michael Ware. Mr Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his Russian contacts in the 2016 election. He sought to withdraw his guilty plea at the beginning of this year. It’s the highest-profile pardon issued by the president since he took office. “Forget the holiday season, I suspect we’re about to see the pardon season, I would expect more to follow,” Mr Ware said. “People are talking about President Trump’s former campaign manager who has considerable links to Ukrainian and Russian oligarchs, expect him to be pardoned quite possibly. “There may be a slew of others, especially those who were convicted in the wake of the Mueller inquiry.”
