South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Weed-infused bubble tea cashes in on Thailand’s budding cannabis craze” – below is their description.
Thailand’s cannabis market is expected to bloom to US$3 billion over the next five years, and already the industry is taking root on weed-infused items offered by restaurants and cafes as well as health products like toothpaste and soap. The latest example is cannabis bubble tea brewed up by a shop in Chonburi province. Thailand removed the plant and its extracts from a list of illegal narcotics on June 9, 2022, but authorities continue to limit the potency of products to less than 0.2 per cent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) – the active ingredient that gets users high – in any cannabis product.
