The Government is set to shut London down “by the weekend” under the Coronavirus Bill.
Legislation would give the Government emergency powers to “close premises” and “restrict or prohibit events and gatherings”, including restricting transport networks.
The Bill, presented by Matt Hancock in the Commons, could be passed into law by the end of the week.
