Western Australia’s Pilbara has been battered by severe winds and torrential rain as Tropical Cyclone Damien crossed the coast as a category three system, uprooting trees and damaging houses.
The worst storm to hit Karratha in 30 years has dumped more than 250mm of rain in 48 hours, leaving residents to begin the massive clean-up.
