Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday stressed that China’s position and measures are aimed at firmly safeguarding China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity at a press conference in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, after House of Representative Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited the Taiwan region earlier this week.
“If the principle of non-interference in internal affairs is ignored and abandoned, the world will relapse into the law of the jungle,” Wang Yi added, “We cannot allow this to happen and the retrogression of human civilization.”
