‘Wally’ Ahmad’s brother Mahmoud “Brownie” Ahmad shot dead in Greenacre | 7NEWS

7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “‘Wally’ Ahmad’s brother Mahmoud “Brownie” Ahmad shot dead in Greenacre | 7NEWS” – below is their description.

One of Sydney’s most notorious crime bosses is dead. Gunned down in an execution style murder on a quiet street in Greenacre.

Mahmoud “Brownie” Ahmad had a bounty of $1 million on his head. Police say what unfolded was only a matter of time.

Brownie gunned down walking to his car. The 39-year-old was visiting an associate, but waiting for him was an assassin.

Minutes later a BMW was burnt out at Belmore and a Porche torched in Strathfield. Both are suspected getaway cars.

Brownie was the brother of ‘Wally’ Ahmad who was a standover man. He was executed in a dramatic daylight shooting at Bankstown Centro Shopping Centre in 2016.

He fled to Lebanon weeks earlier following the shooting of Safwan Charbaji at Condell Park and was arrested when he returned home the following year. He was then jailed after pleading guilty to manslaughter.

He was released only six months ago. He was a marked man. There was a million dollar bounty on his head.

As recently as last week, police warned Brownie that he was a target.

Detectives say there were many witnesses to what happened last night in Greenacre.

News of the murder spread fast, drawing crowds including well known figures linked to Sydney’s underworld.
