WA tourism sector ‘really struggling’ amid border closure

Sky News Australia published this video item, entitled “WA tourism sector ‘really struggling’ amid border closure” – below is their description.

Director of Segway Tours WA Belinda Hill says the tourism sector in the state is “really, really struggling” as residents from New South Wales and Victoria are booking Christmas holidays in Queensland and elsewhere amid WA’s border closure. “We are only surviving on 18 per cent of our normal market,” Ms Hill told Sky News host Chris Kenny. “New South Wales and Victoria – who are not allowed to come in unless they isolate – form a large part of our touring, domestic market, so it was pretty difficult. “We would love to have freer flow of people from Victoria and New South Wales. “We don’t want to miss the boat, because everyone is booking their tours now, their accommodation. “They’re going to Queensland and everywhere else but WA because they don’t want to quarantine.”
