    One of Australia’s biggest environmental challenges is protecting the Great Barrier Reef. The outlook for the World Heritage icon is very poor according to the Reef Management Authority, mainly due to climate change.

    As Michael Atkin reports, volunteers are now exploring the reef as part of a major conservation project. They take photographs and help scientists target areas in need of urgent action.
