Volkswagen close to $4.3bn US settlement over emissions scandal

Volkswagen has agreed a draft settlement with US authorities over the emissions scandal, which will see it pleading guilty to criminal charges and paying fines $4.3 billion. The agreement now must be approved by VW’s supervisory and management board.
