Victoria records its biggest tally of new COVID-19 cases | 7.30

As Melbourne enters its second week of lockdown there’s no let up in sight. On Thursday the state recorded its biggest ever tally of new cases, 317. The next few weeks will decide whether even tougher lockdowns need to be implemented, as debate grows about our national response to the virus.
